URBAN HEALTH AND DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM, Slums in and around Dhaka City Corporations Registration of Health and Demographic Events, 2017

Abstract

The Urban Health and Demographic Surveillance System (Urban HDSS) operates in the selected slums in and around Dhaka City Corporations covering nearly 130,000 populations approximately living in 33,600 households. This report provides the Urban HDSS updates of vital events and migrations and selected maternal and neonatal health service indicators. The table below summarizes key demographic, social, and health service indicators for 2017 comparing with the Matlab HDSS 2017, Bangladesh Demographic Health Survey 2017/18 and Urban Health Survey 2013.
